About Us

Brittle Bricks - based in Gloucester, UK - formed 3 years ago and has undergone the usual change of members; now settling on the 4 piece line up we have today.

Our mission is to bridge the gap between church and community so we play stuff from both and mix it all up together.

As you can see from our photo; we range in age quite considerably (see band profiles).

Band links album to PCF charity

27 May 2009

With the Dark Horizons album now expected back from the duplicators mid June the band has decided to link the album to the Philippine Community Fund charity; a UK based organisation working in the Philippines to stop the child labour on the rubbish dumps and break the poverty cycle there. So for every one sold 10% will go to PCF. B Bricks are passionate about making a difference in this world of ours and our hope is that may inspire others to do the same. One of the tracks; rubbish dump Blues; was written on the bands return from their Philippine tour where they played in these shanty towns that exist on the rubbish dumps themselves. Believe me; we have no idea how blessed and fortunate we are!

You will be able to purchase the album either through the PCF website; the B Bricks website or; if we really get our act together you can buy the songs via I tunes.

Gloucester Park May 25th

So despite the BBC doing their best to tell us the weather in Glos was going to be rubbish on the day; turned out to be a really good time.

Supported by our friends 2tall and the fabulous rapper Dean Henry; the event; organised by Recliffe college in just a few weeks ran from 1 - 7.30pm and had a wonderful relaxed feel about it. The Redcliffe folks told some great stories; performed some amazing dance/drama routines and one guy from Denmark used magic to illustrate some Bible truths. Pictures should be up in a day or two when they are downloaded.

Next gig at the moment is July 4th but we're chasing a couple of possibilities and with the album out in just a few weeks now anything could happen.

Barnwood park gig

19 May 2009

Well folks despite the inclemant weather there was a great turn out on the day for the Barnwood community event in the Arboretum. I'm told the burger man ran out of burgers; so it must have been decent.

Unfortunately it was our turn for the heavens to open just as we got on stage so everyone ran for cover on the first strum ; but hey ho that's life.

we've put a few piccies up of us playing in the rain and our friends "too tall for the radio" playing during a less rainy spot.

So with our next park gig only six days away; let's hope and pray that the rain stays away and we have a great time in Gloucester park. Hope to see you there.
